The first Guild Wars 3 beta test is set for Fall 2027. ArenaNet says you get a chance to take part by signing up on the official site and wishlisting the game.
Estimated Fall Beta 2027
Register your interest at guildwars3.com. ArenaNet says signing up there is how you get a chance to play when betas begin.
Add Guild Wars 3 to your Steam wishlist. It both flags your interest and reminds you when the beta and launch land.
On PlayStation 5, wishlist the game from the PlayStation Store so you are ready if console beta access opens.

Sign up at guildwars3.com ↗ArenaNet has confirmed the window, Fall 2027, but not the format. There is no word yet on whether it is a closed or open test, how long it runs, which platforms get in first, or how much of Orr it covers. More on beta tests, the exact price, and the release date is due across late 2026 and into 2027.
The studio consistently says betas, plural. Colin Johanson’s June 16 philosophy post refers to when “betas begin” in Fall 2027, and the official site uses the same phrasing on its signup. Source: ArenaNet: Our Guild Wars Philosophy↗
For context: Guild Wars 2 ran three Beta Weekend Events in spring 2012, each open to players who had already bought the game. The first ran April 27 to 29, 2012. The game launched August 28, four months after the first test. Each weekend focused on a different region of the map.
Guild Wars 3 is buy to play with no subscription, the same model Guild Wars 2 launched with, and GW2 granted beta access to players who bought the game in advance. ArenaNet has not said whether it will repeat that. The only path it has given so far is the free signup at guildwars3.com plus the store wishlists. For the wider timeline, see the release date page.
